We started Good 4 Food because we were tired of watching the people we love suffer. In our families, conditions like diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, asthma, and even cataracts are common, and the only “solution” we were taught was medication.
During the pandemic, we hit a wall. We were carrying extra weight (50 pounds each), confused about what to eat, and overwhelmed by contradicting health advice. So we began a deep, faith-led journey to unlearn what we thought we knew about nutrition. What we found shocked us: so much of the disease in our communities was passed down, not just genetically, but also through inherited eating habits and chronic inflammation caused by everyday processed, enriched, and modified foods. We learned that it was never intentional on our community’s part to cause the health conditions we inherited. Still, it remained uninterrupted due to our lack of knowledge of the ever-changing scene of mass production and marketing going on behind the scenes. God put it on our hearts to break that cycle. Good 4 Food was born to help our communities heal, not just physically but generationally.
Now we pursue progress over perfection, moderation over elimination, flips over eradication, and instead of shame, celebration.
